The NFL was formed in 1920 as the American Professional Football Association, with the league changing its name to the National Football League in 1922. The Akron Pros, Chicago Staleys and Canton Bulldogs soon gave way to the team we now know. As an extension of the Super Bowl Banner Collection, Winning Streak Sports is introducing a new line of banners celebrating select NFL Championship teams. Developed on their signature wool fabric with embroidery and applique detail, these vintage inspired designs commemorate the original NFL Championships that ruled the NFL long before the Super Bowl emerged in 1967. The first series to be released in 2010 will include the Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears! The first two banners, which are scheduled to be released in April, 2010, feature the 1946 and 1947 Cleveland Browns AAFC Championships.
